You can get plantar warts from walking or swimming in a pool.

Put duck tape on it. It is the most effective treatment.

My mom’s doctor actually recommended this as an alternative to cutting it out. It was a fairly slow process from what I remember, but it definitely worked.

Don't do this or knife it out. Just stay steady with the wart remover even after it's pitted out. You'll get the roots and everything eventually, just takes time.

Warts don't have "roots" or "seeds" for that matter.

Expose the seeds. Then, touch the seeds with the tip of a soldering iron for a second or two at a time. Doesn't hurt too bad because the iron is hot and cauterizes the seeds and skin. It will go away and not come back. Worked for a wart on my hand years ago. I'd do it again in a heartbeat

When you cut a wart off, you must continue to curettage and electrodessicate all the wart tissue until you get to normal healthy tissue. Basically if you take off the top layer of wart tissue and leave wart infected tissue behind, it will almost certainly grow back.

Some people think warts have roots, like a plant, but they don't. Sometimes warts have tiny black spots in them that look like seeds. But they aren't seeds. It's just that the blood that feeds the wart has dried. Don't worry, it's normal to get this.

From the AAD website.....plantars warts sometimes grow inward instead of outward, which occupies tissue and causes the pain. It's usually called a myrmecia type.....What people call "seeds", are actually intracorneal hemorrhages (tiny blood clots) that the wart causes.

Also, what’s the procedure they do to remove it? Do they freeze it off or cut it out or burn it off?

Never had a wart in my life. At first it didn’t hurt a whole lot, now it feels like a damn rock is in my heel. I’ve tried the OTC freeze off stuff you get from like Walmart to no avail.

OT, is this like a going to the quick care thing to take care of or should I go to a foot specialist? Also, what’s the procedure they do to remove it? Do they freeze it off or cut it out or burn it off?

"freeze off" stuff does not work for plantar warts due to the thickness of the skin on the bottom of the foot.

The way I treat them is I initially apply a strong acid (Catherone is the one we use) and then get the patient to use a weaker acid (wart stick is the one we use) each day for 2 weeks. It can take multiple rounds of that treatment for some deeper warts.

If that does not work sometimes you have to have the wart removed with a laser. That works well, but then you have to heal a wound on the bottom of your foot, and it is pretty tender.

Where can I find these two?

I do not think cantherone is readily available over the counter. Wart stick can be found at most pharmacies.

I don't know where you live, but I may be able to recommend a podiatrist in your area.

I’m in Bossier. I’d prefer to not have to get it cut out, my job requires me to be on my feet a lot.
