I know this will be a shock to the OT but I don’t drive a F250. Baw status denied.

Hell no. Way too risky to pick up something on the side of the road.

In my old neighborhood someone moved and put things to the curb before they left. We noticed that there was a brand new looking bbq grill. Upon further inspection it had never been used but the wheels were put on incorrectly so it was wobbly. A screwdriver and a few minutes and that grill was good to go for years.

No I have not, but in my neighborhood, anytime someone puts out any type of furniture or home decor, someone will swipe it up within 30 mins.
Awhile back one of my neighbors were redoing their entire house and they were throwing away chairs, drawers, lamps, wall decor, etc. This woman stopped and started looking through, evidently she called someone else who came with a truck and they loaded up everything.

Living in Plantation Trash in college, I always upgraded my furniture by shopping next to the dumpsters at the end of the school year.

If you live in N.O. it's not free. To dump a pickup load of construction debris, yard waste, etc. you are looking at a $15 flat fee. If a mattress is involved, that is an additional $15.
N.O. sucks between the rising property taxes, rising water from basic rain storms and the proliferation of traffic cameras. I can't wait for the wife to retire and get the hell out of this place.
