Hypothetically, what if a person had a bunch of unopened cases of R-12 (like you would put in cars).

What would that be worth?

Pretty much true, just wanted OP to know.

Technically, he has another option but no legit shop will do that (nor should the OP try to do it himself, really). A lot of guys were using propane as a substitute for R-12 refrigerant, initially. It's actually a better refrigerant than Freon and requires about the same size compressor. The whole flammability thing makes at somewhat sketchy.

I dunno, maybe hypothetically put ebay.com into your hypothetical web browser, and you might be taken to a hypothetical online market with a lot of hypothetical options to purchase the hypothetical product in question
