I feel the opposite on both of these scenarios.
we have free speech so I don't care what people say, post, or tag.
if someone is physical with another than I feel they should be prosecuted to the utmost severity. if the physical assault, murder, etc is harnessed through "hate" it should be worse. try to think of the chicago 4 compared to a guy who got into a bar fight. they aren't quite the same. these 4 are damaged beyond repair

Should we not acknowledge what the motivation behind the crime is?? Sexual predators, thrill killers, gangland hits, etc .These are all the same. It describes the motivation behind the crime. Hate criminals need to be punished severely for just that. Not all criminals commit crimes out of hate so that term is justified
