That new guy who introduced himself the other day was greeted with a flurry of middle fingers, gtfo's, homophobic slurs, and shite talk about A&M. If he sticks around after that kind of welcome he is probably a good dude. That might scare away some people but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

This has a lot to do with it. Posters like Manwich, Muppet, Rogertheshrubber, NoHo, and several others have almost disappeared over the last few years and there hasn't been much quality step up and take their place.
And for the record, this place does not suck. Hell, we're on here and it's the 4th of July. It might be passed its prime but I hope not.

Yeah. 2011 was a lot of fun around TD. The whole year really. Not just the fall.
The peak of TD was probably 2007. 2008-09 was still pretty good when I hopped aboard.

I lurked from 2008-10 and it was fantastic
I really think 2012 is what started the downfall. Lot of quality posters leaving and a lot of trolls to replace them.

this board turning so puritanical has terribly affected its attraction to females. most of the females who do post have for a long time and all cat fight when volume social posting occurs. this, again, is terrible when trying to recruit new females. social posting always ramps up with new female posters. you can divide the eras of the OT by female posters

It probably didn't help that posters were secretly taking pictures with telephoto lenses of female posters in Tiger Stadium.

Roger and NoHo still post regularly .. Muppet used TD as a home wrecking conduit .. Manwich was really good .. Sad to see him gone ..
