but no social interaction sucks.
I’m such an introvert that this hasn’t bothered me yet. I see my wife, family and a couple of friends. But I can do without the rest for a long time

Well 2 people I was very close with have passed away so far, 2 others I knew, total of 4. I’d say life is not easier for most people a-hole.
And that doesn’t count the economic hits people I know are taking

No. I've lost faith in society, taken a pay cut, and I'm not sure if working from home is a pro or a con at this point. Shopping sucks too.

I'm am too but I didn't realize how much I was used to interacting with others at the office during the day.
I've been going into an office for 20+ years at this point and I've never worked from home more than for a few days here and there.

I’m used to being isolated for ~10 hours per day while my wife goes to work and I stay home to work, but to make up for it we’re very social people (gym multiple days a week, going out to dinner a few nights, hanging out with friends at least 1-2 nights, visiting our family, etc...). This has put an end to all of that and it’s definitely starting to wear on me.
ETA: my wife is still going to work, so I’m still solo during the day.

No. Running on the same treadmill, the same 10hrs of meetings/day and having to hand the baby back and forth while my wife does the same.
To be honest, that seems more like a general issue.
If you hate 10 hours of meetings a day why not do something else?

7 less days of work in the last 2 weeks for me, but a lot less money as well.

OK so, we’ll put you down as a no

Not in my case. I always worked from home before all of this. Now my wife and kids are in the house distracting me (primarily the kids). Plus now that a bunch of additional coworkers are working from home, I gotta get on zoom calls and log what I'm working on, ect... I never had to do any of that before. I was basically left to do my own thing with no real oversight I did actually work without the oversight but still....
And production just got shutdown for a month so now management will be more prone to be like "what are y'all doing?"

Actually I have been getting more done from home and when I do need something the office is 5 minutes away.
I am more against this overreaction though than anyone.

I mean it's not bad, like a 5 minute call every morning. I was told that I could skip it if I wanted but I'm a team player so I join in. It's just that I had absolutely no oversight before. The only time someone would ask me what I was working on was when they wanted to give me another project to complete. I'm trusted to do my thing. It's just that now that everyone is home, they feel the need to track things a little better.

No. Tomorrow is my first day off since the day the NBA season was cancelled. Also, when I do get home I can't even go out for dinner and my wife is going stir crazy being stuck at home with the two year old all day. On the bright side, my vacation starts today (we were suppose to go to New York) so I will get some rest.

Hell no.
Put in part time with 50% pay, which is better than the other guys that were furloughed. Have to work at home, which is cool and actually like it; however, have to mange three kids home schooling.
So no, life is not easier right now.

Meaning what? You don’t get paid at all but we give you a job when this is over?

Yep. It's happening to a lot of people.

Do you really think that is sustainable, OP? I mean, how many weeks of people just sitting at home and drawing a salary do you think the economy can tolerate?
Imagine you owned a business. How long would you tolerate it before you just liquidated that business and sat on that big pile of cash for a while?

I am self employed so I actually paid someone to cover me. I don't care. I am exhausted and needed the break.
