Has the print on consumer labels and such gotten smaller over the years?

My wife and I are trying to convince ourselves that it’s gotten smaller.

Nah, you're just older and your eyesight is going.

I had 20/20 vision until I was about 44 and bam, gone in seemingly 3 or 4 months

My wife's went way downhill at 42.

And then the colors they use are ridiculous! I was trying to read something the other day that was printed in about font size 2 on a jar label with white font on an orange background. .Add in some glare from lights above and almost threw the jar out the window.

I do have moderate astigmatism that doesn’t necessarily require glasses, but I feel like some of this new product packaging is just messing with me.

Same kinda except it’s mostly just tiny arse words that I have trouble reading.

Package got smaller, and the print is scaled to the package.

I’ve seen some that don’t even bother putting the labels on the product but just a simple QR code. I think that’ll be the new norm.

I had just about the same thing happen to me. I went from saying "I'll get some readers because my eyes get a little tired from reading" to "I can't see shite without these glasses". That all happened in the same calendar year.

I keep some readers stashed at work, my home office, my truck and in the living room

I've had my eyes checked and it's just normal age stuff, but I've been trying to avoid getting prescription glasses as long as the readers work ok.

I had perfect vision until 46. I’m 48 now and can barely see what I’m typing here

So did my wife's.

She married me when she was 44.

I hope those two things aren't related.
