re: Has Gundy being forced to apologize for wearing a news network tshirt been discussed?

BLM inspired a guy to kill 5 cops
The player seemingly supports BLM
Shouldn't he be apologizing to us?
(I don't believe this, but this is your reasoning).

Likewise. I feel ostracized from both sides because the loudest voices and those that dominate the headlines are the ones that are the fringe for each side.

Is this the position of the editorial board? Or one or several pundit or guest commentators opinion?

But I'm saying his motivation to backpedal it probably wasn't because he's a pussy as previously mentioned, simply that there's likely something in his contract that addresses image issues like that. He realized that OANN/OAN/whatever wasn't the hill he was willing to die on. To each their own. Kid had every right to not play, just like OSU has every right to yank his scholly.
To that end though, anyone (players included) should be free to not want to play for him and voice that opinion, just like Gundy should be free to wear that shirt and say whatever he wants to say. This is America, after all.

At this point, the fringe has taken over the Democrat party. These views are mainstream leftist. Views.

Yeah, just like racism is a mainstream view in the Republican party

What's the mainstream GOP equivalent to "defund the police"?
"Build the Wall"?
Therein lies the problem, we're pitting "dismantle police in favor of community policing and social workers" against "enforce the concept of a border with a physical barrier."

Maybe. I dunno

Both sound like political pandering that isn't going to accomplish much of anything to me

Your response is kind of my point. You're equating the two (I know I forced you into it) somewhat. You know I respect your views so I'm just using you to make the argument.
One piece of rhetoric has led to action to actually defund the MPD, leading to a bunch of cops fleeing and people prepping to leave the city. Meanings of the slogan vary, but obviously some really mean "abolish." Abolish laws if they get in the way. Abolish police who enforce said laws.
The other is something done by a ton of countries, that we already did in part, and which, at worst, might be ineffective and deemed rude to those trying to break the law and enter unlawfully.
When our media and society at large (despite individuals believing differently) equate the two as opposite-ends-of-spectrum views, isn't that a problem?

Well, not really, as I don't believe the Biden is going to have "defund the police" as one of his main campaign points
*nB4 someone shows me Biden is doing just that

WHAT THE frick IS WRONG WITH WEARING A T-SHIRT THAT REPRESENTS A CONSERVATIVE, PRO-TRUMP MEDIA OUTLET?!
Everyone needs to remember this for the day when a democrat is in office and someone in the public spotlight wears a pro-liberal t-shirt. BE OFFENDED. Or are only liberals aloud to be offended?

It's a fair point. But I'd argue that (strange as it is) the Democrats have a leader uncharacteristic to the current tone and platform of the Democratic Party.
Perhaps that changes, but I think Biden knows he's not driving the ship right now, hence his general absence from the conversation. I guess my point is - do you think there are influential GOP elected officials saying and doing the right-wing equivalents of what Omar, De Blasio, Durkan, etc. are doing?

Gotta know your audience. Recruiting would have died immediately. Hell team might have boycotted
If i wore a castro shirt to my job id have to apologize and might even be fired...but then again, my boss had common sense

Shirt comparison.
Republicans had their moral majority moment in the late 80s, early 90s.
Democrat mainstream politicians are overtly embracing the SJW cancel culture. The badtardization of "racism" is the result.
This os the lefts "moral majority" morality crusade

but I would be a pretty terrible current day liberal based off my political views
