My 95 Dakota was a great vehicle.

I downsized and went from a F150 to a Tacoma. I have all the bells and whistles that I wanted in the Tacoma -- and it is a solid and reliable truck. However, I absolutely miss the extra space that I had grown accustomed to.
Yeah, I went with a Taco with pretty much everything as well. I’m not disappointed in the least as it serves all my needs perfectly. Thought about the Tundra real hard, but I’m on the road a lot and was a little afraid of the gas mileage. If I had something to tow though, i would have gone with the Tundra.

Toyota
Ford
Nissan
GM/Dodge
I work on vehicles for a living and trust me that is the correct order

I'm fairly certain that if I decide to make a move and get rid of my Tacoma, I can get close to what I paid for it -- as I have only had it for about 6 months and bought it certified used.
The lack of space will continue to be a concern, but my biggest complaint with the Taco --- the seats in this truck are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat on. My arse absolutely hurts after riding in my truck for more than a couple of hours. I never had that problem in my F150 or in my wife's current vehicle.

Even with all of the EcoBoosts out there? I know several people that have had them awhile and haven't had any issues with them. Just curious.

Ford has the most Innovative truck out there by far but I would not put it above Toyota because Toyota's quality is proven and Ford hasn't proven that it can match Toyota in that department

If you are a "keep it for 5 years and max at 125,000 miles" any of the trucks on the market will be fine, get what you want.
If you are a "keep it 10+ years, and roll 200K+ miles" go Toyota

I don't know man. A nice looking Dodge is still a fricking Dodge. I've never heard good things about Dodge.

Toyota needs to update the Tundra. It's looked the same forever and I found the interior to be bland. That's why I went with a Ford. I don't usually drive them much over 100k anyway.

I had a 2001 Ram 1500 a while back, drove it for 150,000 with no problems.
Drive a 2016 Ram 2500 now, I've put about 40,000 on it and I have yet to have a problem with it so far.
My very first vehicle was an old 1984 Dodge Power Ram that had been an old work truck from my father's fleet and had been retired to our cabin. It finally died at 300,000. Looked like a piece of shite, but ran like a dream.

I have always had that same school of thought. Because Dodge was a shitty product for the most part as I was growing up.
I'd like to think they have turned the corner as I believe this truck is one of the nicer looking trucks on the road today.

Toyo had the least tech, so the least potential problems. Engine and tranny has been the same for nearly 10yrs and is bulletproof. Just the gas mileage is the worst. P

I have a 2017 Texas Edition Chevy Silverado and it's great. Would highly recommend.

Dodge issues recall for 1.8M Ram trucks
Brian Tynes
Dec 22, 2017 04:03 PM
(RNN) - Nearly 1.8 million Dodge Ram trucks are being recalled due to a shifting problem.
The issue rises from an electrical overheating problem, and could cause the trucks to roll away on their own while in park, the company announced.
The recall covers Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from 2010 through 2017, chassis cab Ram 2500, 3500 and 4500 models from 2001 to 2017 and some Ram 1500 models from 2009 to 2017.
Trucks manufactured in 2017, even though they may be of the model year, are not part of the recall.
Fiat-Chrysler, Dodge's parent company, said it is aware of seven injuries and a few crashes that are a result of the problem.
A fix is being prepared and anyone who owns one of the affected vehicles is asked to used their parking brake at all times until the problem can be repaired.
Owners of the vehicles will be notified by Chrysler-Fiat.
A previous recall was issued for an unrelated problem in September over a fire hazard.
Would you like to see the numerous recalls issued by GM?
Fact is, every manufacturer issues recalls for something

I've had great service from GMC Duramax, UNTIL this latest one.
2016, and the hi pressure fuel pump scattered at 25k on the clock. Dealer had to remove front cap and cab to replace all the fuel lines, rails, and other misc. shite. When I picked it up, the invoice was 4 pages long of just parts......
Now have 40k on the clock, and so far, so good.

Yeah, the seating position is odd. I’ve grown accustomed to it now, but it’s not the most comfy, and I haven’t taken it on anything longer than a continuous 3 hour drive, so not sure what a really long road trip would be like. I do like the durability of the seats though, and I get the feeling it’s going to hold up well like I do the rest of the truck, which is why I bought it honestly, but you do sacrifice some comfort and space.

The leg room in the back seat area is incredible.
Just got one with a super crew cab. It's crazy how much room there is in the back seat.

all the Ram Truck owners I know swear the Ram is not a Dodge
They say the dodge name is no longer on there and it is not a dodge
It is still a dodge, the only saving grace is the Cummings engine- the hemi is still the joke it was when it was first introduced
But yes it is better today than it has been in the past, but I still am not buying one

After a couple of hours in my truck, I feel as if I just left the arse doctor for a checkup. It's awful.
The rest of the truck is great. I have the premium sound system with navigation and all that jazz and it is fantastic in terms of sound quality. One of best car "factory" systems I have ever heard.

Dodge loses some points for using the bitch switch rather than the regular gear shift, but it looks like more vehicles are going to that. The new Expedition now has a bitch switch too.
