Has Chrysler/Dodge fixed any of their reliability issues?

Or are their cars still pieces of shite? Internet searching giving mixed results. Wondering if anyone has any insight or experience.

The short answer to your question is yes.
Dodge is building quality vehicles. They may not be the best vehicle in every class, but if they build something you like, don't be scared of getting it.

There are better brands, I'd go with one of them

Thanks. I'm just a little wary as I've had issues with Chrysler products in the past and don't want to drop cash on something I'm going to start having issues with in 40-50k miles.

I have an 09 Ram with 110k on it. I haven't had any major issues. I think I had to get an O2 sensor replaced and that's about it other than routine maintenance

I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with ~ 128k on it.
I've had zero issues with the vehicle.
Is that corrected "reliability issues"?

I had a 2005 Jeep that had plenty of problems, so I hope they've fixed them because I'm looking at the RAM 1500s closely.

what model specifically are you looking at?

FCA vehicles (Chrysler Dodge Jeep) constantly rank near the bottom Of the JD Power quality surveys of customers. It is considered the best measurement.
That is not to say every person that buys them have a lot of problems. Also it doesn't mean that those at the top of the survey never have problems.
But they survey a lot of people and it gives you a good overall view. It does not detail what components failed or needed service.

If they build the Demon in Hemi orange next year, I may have to shop. Would look incredible sitting next to my Hemi orange 1970 Road Runner.

I've had the itch for something retro looking but don't want "retro" features. Toying with the idea of a challenge for funsies but it would be my daily driver and I don't want something that's gonna crap out. Yeah, I know if I want reliability, I need to buy an accord, but I want a happy medium.

I would buy a Ram without hesitation. Although I went with the Tundra myself.

You can't be serious? The Charger/Challenger platform is solid.
If you like the looks fo the Challenger, buy the damn thing and be done with it. You won't have any more issues than if you bought an Accord.
Just like all the people I see on here "don't buy a Ford truck" LOL I"m on my second Super Duty, and they are damn near bulletproof.

Their reliability has gotten better BUT everyone else has gotten better also. The gap to the other domestics is not as wide as it once was but in general they are bottom of the heap still. The thing with car reliability is that you can't pay much if any attention to anecdotal evidence especially given choice-supportive bias, while not perfect the best options are JD Powers and CR which will both suggest there are better options.

Dead serious. Every Chrysler product I've owned or been part of a family that's owned one has been a piece of shite. I have a huge intrinsic bias against the brand. But I appreciate the info.
