re: Has anyone here ever been shot?

I say I was shot, but I really was grazed with a bullet. It hit the outer part of my leg at calf level and only took out maybe a 1/4" of meat/skin.

Anyone who says it doesn't hurt is lying. After the initial contact (felt like someone hit my leg with a hammer), my brain tried to figure out what happened. Two seconds after, I knew something was wrong, but I couldn't figure out what and really there was no pain because of the shock. BUT THEN I tried walking off and the pain/burning started. It felt like someone was holding a torch to my leg, and I only was grazed by the bullet.

My dad shot his foot .357 magnum and said felt like fire in foot and razor blades

I've treated people that have been shot. It really depends on where it's at. I saw a kid that blew off his knee cap and the front of his thigh with a shotgun. He felt it! But I've seen other shot with non expanding bullets that went through and through that didn't need any pain meds.

How the hell did he accomplish that? That seems tough even if you're trying

Trying to cross a fence line was the story. Had the gun leaned on it. He was climbing over, it slipped and apparently pulled the trigger. Not sure how valid. He was hypothermic and confused by the time he got to us. I think his friend did it by accident. Kid did run over 5 miles in hip boots to get help.

I had a friend who was shot multiple times during a robbery with an assault rifle. Said it hurt like hell

Never shot at out in the open but had plenty of ordnance bounce off my turret during Desert Storm.

I got shot with a 20 gauge rabbit hunting one time. Had on a carhartt jacket so none of the pellets made it to my skin except for the 3 that hit me in the arse/leg. Hurt pretty bad. I probably got hit by 8 or 9 pellets all together.
