Has anyone had any mishaps with amazon delivery during the holiday season?

Had a fairly heavy gift that was supposed to be delivered via USPS. Never saw a thing or heard a knock, then checked and it was listed as "available for pickup"... so I checked the USPS site and they claimed a failed delivery at 5:45 (bullshite, we were home, they obviously didn't try) and then had it listed as "available for pickup at request of customer"... which is even more bullshite.

Summary: Our mailman is a lazy lying piece of shite.

Met a guy who does amazon flex and he said it is horribly inefficient at the distribution center.

My mom had this issue with USPS. After the "failed attempt", they told her her package was at the postal office in Port Allen. She lives in Prairieville...

Exact thing happened to me last week in Covington. USPS is the problem, not Amazon necessarily. But, on top of that, my package was shuffled around from mandeville to new orleans and back before making it to me 2 days late. With all of my complaints to Amazon after than I have around 45 dollars in credits waiting for my next order.

WAFB posted video yesterday of one of the Amazon vans in BR pulling into a sloped driveway and forgetting to put the van in park before exiting, so it rolled back down through the yard and into a light pole.

A week or two ago they had to pull one out of a ditch.

It's a total shitshow.

Had a makita miter saw delivered and it looked like they dragged it behind the truck with a frickin chain for 1000 miles. They sent a new one via UPS that arrived intact

They never ring or knock here. I just get a push notification on my phone that it's on the doorstep. Only times I get a knock is if a sig is required which is rare.

Even Amazon cannot succeed with BR's shitty applicant pool.

Received two packages in perfect condition. Week later got an email that those two packages were damaged in transit and I would receive a refund because they could not be delivered.
