I met John Travolta at a McDonalds in Miami of all places. I asked if he ordered a Royale with cheese and giggled like a school girl as he rolled his eyes. It was the best day of my life.

fricked one once. She was hot, bat-shite crazy. Didn't catch any Scientology from her though.

Has Anyone Ever Met a Scientologist?
Curious, does anyone have any good stories from meeting one of these people?

Not sure how "good" this story is, but I ran into one in front the Church of Scientology here in DC one day. It's right in the midst of a busy area where there are a lot of pedestrians going to various places. A few of them were out in front talking to passersby trying to convince them to try out Scientology. One approached and spoke to me. I stopped and listened to his pitch, then decided to ask him a question, "can you tell me one specific benefit you have gotten from Scientology? Not some general thing about overall happiness in life or whatever, but something specific?" He stammered about for a bit and was just stringing together a bunch of their buzzwords and canned phrases without really saying anything, so I kept bringing him back to the question. "I asked for something specific, one specific thing Scientology has helped you with. Can you name one?" I did this multiple times over a span of two or three minutes and, finally, after I once again reminded him of the question, he paused, looking up and to one side like he was trying to think of something, then came out with "it has made me a much better communicator". I just shook my head and walked away.

I've met with a Scientology rep. inside their 'Gold Base' in San Jacinto, CA regarding some consulting work. It gave me the creeps, fences all around, guards on ATVs, etc. I couldn't help but think are the fences there to keep people out or keep people in?

Yep. Seem em in Clearwater too. They hand out fliers in the way to sporting events. I always turn down the personality test they try to reel you in with.

Gay and scientologist?

I'm surprised they didn't try to brainwash him to be straight

Tom Cruise taped a movie at my facility and we met him. Does that count?

One of my closest friends did a huge amount of legal work for them in the '90's, and yes, they do exist. He went to a couple of "company" social functions as well, though he never really said too much about it.

They do send out perhaps the world's fanciest Christmas card, though, I can assure you of that.
