Has anyone ever experienced a "glitch in the matrix" type event?

An unexplained event of sorts

2 weeks back I got a haircut from this chick named Julie. I liked her style of cutting hair so I asked for her name and she proceeded to hand me a business card with her name and the business phone number.

Yesterday I call the barber shop and ask for Julie and the girl that answers says "there's no Julie that works here". I go on to tell her that can't be true and start explaining to her what she looks like etc. To no avail, she laughs and says "you must have the wrong barbershop sir".

Anyone else ever experience "that person didn't exist" type event?

Because it sounded like she genuinely didn't know who the hell "Julie" was and kinda sounded freaked out on the phone

I guess it's not physically possible for Julie to have left that store and phone answering girl had just started within 2 weeks?

Nah, no way.

Maybe because they get calls all the time from stalker types that get a haircut from a chick and then falls in love? Instead of saying "yes ma'am, this is (insert name) and I'd like to set up an appointment with Julie", you creepishly say "may I talk to Julie". She doesn't like you bro, it was just a hair cut

It's actually not because at this same barbershop there's only been the same 4 people working there and they don't have a designated "call girl"

A crazy twist to the story would be your finding out that you are in fact "Julie."

Happened to me the other night, I was told I ordered 8 fireball shots. I know I had at least twice that many.

You should call the number from the card she gave you.

Everybody in the hair industry knows "Julie" is the code name for creep alert.

You might ought to find a new barbershop.

Hairdressers are like strippers. I imagine they here today, gone tomorrow types. She prob quit or got fired and didn't work there anymore. The chick you talked to on the phone was probably new and never heard of her. Not the most stable industry or the most responsible employees.
