There are people that have been to every county/parish in the United States, its a thing called county collecting. Supposedly 65 people are verified to have visited all 3,143 counties. Pretty crazy.

I'm one of those county collectors. Found out about it about 10 years ago; mapped all the ones I had been in during my life (had to ask my parents about routes we took when I was younger) then started adding more to my total on vacations and weekend road trips. Often take the backroads and state highways rather than interstate highways, and visit off-the-beaten track attractions. While interstate driving, I will occasionally get off at an exit and go 5 or so minutes out of my way just to add another close-by county.

And yes, I HAVE been to all 64 Louisiana Parishes. Took a fun one-day road trip up north the summer before last to get the remaining ones; visited the Poverty Point indian mounds and climbed to the top of Mt. Driskell (state's highest point) on that trip.
