Has anybody quit smoking and/or dipping because of the anti-tobacco commercials?

There was the one with the bald chick before she died, and there have been numerous ones showing people who have lost legs and arms.
The latest one though is the roughest IMO. The guy cleaning the hole in his throat with a toothbrush would have me quitting cold-fricking turkey if I smoked.

I got a bad can one day. Put a fatty in and almost immedately projectile vomit all over my truck seat. Was sick for a week.
After that the smell of snuff churned my stomach.
The commercials are bad too.

People have been shown black lungs of people that smoked and still didn't quit.
You have to really want to quit. No commercial will make you want that. For every commercial you see you also have people that have a relative that is 85 and smoked all their life and no cancer or issues. So they think they will end up like that.
If anything.....hopefully those commercials help prevent kids from starting once they hit 18.

They go too far with those things. They have one where they talk about how the guy has a whole in his neck or his stomach from it and goes into depth on it.

I like the mandatory stickers they have on every pack of cigarettes in Mexico. Either a picture of nasty black lungs or a dead baby.

I wish there was a way for non-smokers to be exempt from having to see those commercials.
Serious question though: does any age group or demographic consider smoking to be cool still? I remember being a kid and that being a thing, but I would be surprised if that is still the case.
