I was tearing up just typing that, just knowing my childhood house was gone and my parents were now living with me. The science is awesome but the devastation is life changing.

Nature is a scary mother. I've been lucky. I've never had to face the things that many of the people who post here had to face. That being said, I'm not going to take it for granted. I hope we all make it through this. Hurricanes and are other natural disasters are frightening happenings.

Nah. We never grieve around here! But it's important to maintain the realization that a lot of people are going to lose a lot when this is all said and done. Never know when you're next.

Nope. The storm is still a cat 3 and moving at the speed of hur dur. The rain will be punishing over the next several days.
