How do you have an earthquake and a hurricane in the same state at the same time?

Ehh, the northern inner eye wall is still visible in that loop. Once it is a complete circle with no inner features it will be complete.

Eye wall replacement cycle. Its a process that initially slows down intensification, but once complete expands the size of the storm once it has a bigger eye.

There's still a double-eyewall on the north side. when the north eyewall tightens up we'll see exactly how strong this storm is.

I've had a crackpot theory about this for a long time. I think earthquakes and hurricanes happen together some times. I first thought about it after reading Robinson Crusoe (supposedly based on a true story) where there's a hurricane and an earthquake soon after.
Like I said, crackpot.
