Introduce him to the Widmer Omission line of beers… They are low-gluten, and actually good (unlike the usual piss-light offerings he's used to).

He drinks those when we're hanging out but no one wants to play drinking games with Widmers and they're hard to find at bars in Montana.

Um, hard cider has been around for much, much longer than zima.

I'll step up and take a swing for Johnny Appleseed and redds apple ale. Even though I usually drink land shark and shiner bock, I will say that the apple ales definitely have their place in my rotation. They are meant to be drank over ice (as per the box) and they are extremely refreshing after working in the yard or bbqing once you've moved inside.

Swing away at me but they sell the stuff for a reason.

I had Woodchuck cider a long time ago. That stuff's pretty good.

Some of the recent stuff is just ultra light beer with some artificial apple flavoring.

When I tried one of the new ciders, this is exactly the thought that came to my mind.
Compared to that shite, Busch light is a fuggin dark beer!

I love all alcoholic drinks. I have no problem drinking a alcopop on occasion.

I wish someone would make commercial mead. That shite is delicious.

There is a good bit out there for sale on the shelf if you know the right places that carry it. Can also be found online pretty easily.

And to OP, there is good cider, and there is bad cider. The bad cider is very sweet. The better stuff is drier and more refreshing. I can't wait until I own some land some day and I can have an orchard and make my own cider.
