Tina Gambrell. My junior high librarian shall never be forgotten. She was young and really cute. Probably around 25-26 and really cool. My friends and I use to give her all kinds of hell in a good way and she would just laugh. Her brother was Mike Gambrell who played football at LSU. Wonder what she’s up to now. I wish there was a way to just look up somebody’s name and all their info would pop up.

You don’t make any sense

First you say:

One of my mom's master's degrees is in Library Science (1980s.) Talk about useless. It was a BS field then.

Then:
quote:

GoodReads works for everyone else.
your mom had a lot of shite to do before 2006

In most of civilization, you cannot be a library administrator without a MLIS or MLS, and that’s not a bad job.

My hs librarian passed away a couple years ago. She was cool. Let me skip classes and read or use the computer. 2 family members are librarians and both love their jobs. It seems like an enjoyable career.

It’s a coveted position in public school

If the spot comes open, you need to do your best to get it. Talk about a good way to coast towards retirement

Ever used the Dewey Decimal System to look up research for a college class paper? Chatgpt is way faster
