Here is sister Val on a magazine cover, and a large version of the magazine article shown earlier. Also Phoebe with Fast Times co-star Jennifer Jason Leigh. Looks like those two would have been fun.

Phoebe was also a decent singer, and sang the title song for Paradise as well as two cuts included on the soundtrack of Private School.

There were "influencers" back in the 80s too. We just didn't call them that yet. I did not know that Nivea lotion was around back then. I guess she recommended it for all her male admirers.

Yes, I'd say not a classic fashion model ala Vogue, but more of a "girl next door" type, which made her ideal for the teen fashion she did. After her exposure in film of course it became more of a fan-driven thing. The great majority that I've photographed are really just attractive girl-next-door types, as the real deal Vogue look is a rare lucky "won-the-genetic-lottery" thing. But I wish I had had the opportunity to photograph Phoebe back in the day. I like them with personality as well as looks.

I took one of the girls to lunch yesterday and by coincidence, in the course of conversation, she told me that she wanted her ashes shot into space. Apparently it's something that can be done these days, and the price isn't that unreasonable either. Seems an excellent way to dispose of the evidence.
