One of the greatest guitar players of all-time and an underrated voice.

"Layla", "Wonderful Tonight", and "If I Saw You In Heaven"(that song still makes me cry) amongst other hits.

Happy birthday.

He’s supposed to already be dead.

That cat has used up more than nine lives.

You ain't kidding.

His best friend (George Harrison)has been dead for 22 years and he's still kicking.

The title of the song is “Tears in Heaven” and it’s the worst kept secret in the music business that Clapton murdered his son….

What's the difference between a four year old boy and a bag of cocaine?

Eric Clapton wouldn't let a bag of cocaine fall out of the 53rd floor window of an apartment complex.

If his only contribution to the music world was his guitar playing on the Beano album he still would have far exceeded 99% of all other guitar players

Interesting fact, while recording “While my guitar gently weeps”, George Harrison couldn’t get his guitar to weep so it’s Clapton’s guitar you hear on the recording. One of the all time greats

Yeah I’d like to hear this. Wasn’t the kid with the mother and a friend when he fell?

Wasn't the child living his mother, who Clapton was separated from at the time? It's been over 30 years, but I seem to remember Clapton was coming to visit and saw all the commotion on the street. I think the kid landed on the 3rd floor of a patio or a shopping plaza area.

I agree. However the 2005 HOF ceremony Prince shredded that song to another level….

That’s how I have heard it. Clapton has a vast ability on many levels of playing guitar.

Crossroads in an all time gem.

For me it's hard to pick between Eric, Jimmy and Duane. Clapton outlived them and his versatility over a long career is difficult to beat.

Madison Square Garden Benefit Concert 1999 - Sheryl Crow and Dave Sanborn (impromptu sax rif is cool) Steve Gadd one of the best ever on drums, and Nathan East on bass was one tight fricking band. Little Wing was awesome, one of Clapton's best ever live performances.

Little Wing

Turn it up.

Saw him at smoothie king last year. Maybe 2021, can’t remember. It wasn’t his typical 3 hour jam session and he played Layla acoustic but I’ll forever be glad that I went to that show. It was something I’d always wanted to do.
