Sadly, he’s inherited a disease that is like an extreme case of vertigo. Supposedly his dad had the same condition. He can’t steady himself on his feet for very long. He has to have something to lean against or sit down often. Which is why he now sits during much of a show. If you’re a fan, better see him while you can, because the string of dates he’s doing now is supposed to be his last.

We saw him in concert about 5 years ago and he was breaking down then. He just sang snippets of songs, talked a bit, and was obviously having a hard time getting around.

“ Remember When” hits hard…. What a deep song…

As someone who watched his hometown go from cow pastures to strip malls in a decade, little man kicks me right in the feels.

Always one of my favorites.
Chattahooche is my long time favorite.
I saw him for my first concert when I was 3 and his opening act was Faith Hill.

Alan Jackson really does have some good music. I remember having his greatest hits CD. It actually might have been one of the last CD I actually bought.
And speaking of CDs I really wish they would make a comeback. I ws thinking about this the other day. I remember having a stereo, it was a 3 CD holder and put it on random and it would play any song on one of the 3 CDs. It had really good sound, I added some highs to it and had it set up to a good balanced sound. You could hear all the parts of a song.
Today, like most people, I use one of the top music apps and when I want to just listen to music I use my headphones or a bluetooth JBL speaker which sounds okay, it just isn't the same.
I had a Bose sound bar on my TV that I would use to play music on and that was a good sound (as in better than the bluetooth I use now) but I got like 7 or 8 years out of it before one speaker went out in it and the other one eventually started to get static. You can't buy quality shite at a decent price anymore.

Alan Jackson's hometown's population has quadrupled since 1990. Newnan isn't the small town he sang about in his songs anymore.
