You are too much of a baby for me to remember, but I knew your brothers, and there is no way this is true with that pedigree.... Just saying.

Oh, I certainly believe that! So you graduated from the new building out on Milhaven, didn't you?

I pitched for Monroe police department when we won the little league championship . Went to Sallie humble and was getting ready to go to lee Jr high. My dad was a coach at Northeast and the whole staff got fired and we moved, what a bummer . This subject brings back alot of memories .

Do you remember what year that was?
Posted on 1/6/23 at 5:52 pm to LSUmomma
No. I was the last class to graduate off Kansas
Posted on 1/6/23 at 6:15 pm to Tigre85
Maybe 72 , big Jim Crawford was our coach .

I played close to that time frame if my feeble mind remembers correctly. Was little league 10-12 year olds? I turned 10 in fall of 72.

I was Class of 96 on Millhaven. There was never a time my truck did not have at least a shotgun in the backseat during hunting season. Sage immediately after school most days I did not have practice to attend.
Memory escapes me….. What year did the transition occur?

I think '88 may have been the first class to go there their senior year and graduate out of that building.

And Sage wasn't as close, but easily as many if not more hunting rifles and shotguns out in trucks in the Kansas Lane parking lot....

memories of Ray's
Don’t recall if it’s been mentioned in this thread and don’t want to read through again but when out that way if we didn’t eat lunch at Ray’s it was always Danken Trail.
I well remember Ray working the grill at the old Pitt Grill back on the early 1970s.
When he opened up his place in Lakeshore, he took the Pee and Gee from Pitt Grill with him.
There was also a great little mom and pop cafe east of the campus on Desiard called Nick's Barbecue. Dont remember the BBQ but they had some outstanding lasagna.
Handie Mart on Desiard across from the campus had 25 cent homemade ham sandwiches they would warm up in the microwave. Ate a lot of those because the food at Schultz Hall always came up short.
And a single dollar got you a "JDF" - Jumbo burger, drink and fries - from Toto's, delivered to your dorm room.
It was awesome.

Finally someone who remembers Toto's. Can you confirm the burgers were wrapped in red and white striped wax paper?
Weren't they chargrilled with grill marks on them like burger king? I can almost still taste them.
