What do you think is worst, a perfectly healthy person who parks in a handicapped parking space to avoid extra steps or a perfectly healthy person who occupies a handicapped restroom stall just to be on their phone?

A friend of mine is in a wheelchair and has been a victim of both scenarios described above. I have been in the rest room to call out the a-holes who perpetrate these selfish acts. The latest one was a supervisor with a red coat on at a local casino. He didn't even flush cause he was simply sitting on the toilet and reading his phone. When he heard me ask my friend if he wanted to bet if the person in the stall was perfectly healthy or not he scurried out, with no shame at all.

Stalls are built to accommodate, but aren’t “reserved exclusively for” the handicapped.

There are not nearly enough handicapped people to justify the number of stalls so I will use one if I need to.

I have used a handicap stall hundreds of times. Never even thought of it being an issue. Really don’t see an issue with it. Taking a handicap parking spot is worst than waiting couple minutes for me to finish my dump.

Then, they should be! Especially if there is a wheelchair symbol on the door.

If the other stalls are occupied or filthy it's okay to use a handicapped stall but parking in the handicap spot is lame

I'm usually not in danger of shitting my pants if I find another parking space.

If I'm in the bathroom and it's the only stall open, I'm going in. The non-existent handicapped person can just wait

ETA: and I guess I'm technically handicapped so if someone in a wheelchair rolls in I'll just point to that

It is absolutely fair game to use the handicapped stall if all others are occupied to do your business in a timely manner. Hoarding it to play on your phone when someone actually needs it is evil.

There is always an AD gif that applies to the scenario.

I exclusively use handicap stalls

There has been one time in my life when I had wheels waiting outside the stall, it was uncomfortable exiting. Nothing was said.

Gimps should stay home and use amazon, so they don't inconvenience others.

The only time I have really experienced someone using a handicapped stall was at an old job. We had the normal mens and ladies rooms, but also a separate single bathroom across the hall. There was a lady on our floor in a wheelchair, so we pretty much never used the single bathroom unless the others were full, and even then, only to run in and pee real quick. It sort of made her feel special that no one was ever in there for more than about 60 seconds, and she didn't have to navigate opening the bathroom door, then going all the way to the end into the handicapped stall. Everyone just knew that was going to be hers and don't go in there and camp out.

You apparently don’t know the difference between “Handicapped only” and Handicapped accessible.”

Handicapped accessible stalls are in buildings based on code. There are no handicapped people in my work office building, but there are handicapped stalls in all the bathrooms. So you just think they should go unused?

I guess you also shouldn’t be using the handicapped sloped ramps for entering a building if there are stairs somewhere you could use.
