Here's the type of community that can give the best "social emotional learning," if allowed "wall-to-wall counseling."

The father just passed today.
Charges have been updated to murder.
Critics are shocked that a 13 year old had access to a firearm and are blaming everything but the real cause of this trajedy.
What is happening to society?
I was 13 in 1980. My friends and I all had guns. I was trained to responsibly and safely handle firearms by my father, my boy scout troop leaders and the NRA Junior Marksmanship program.
But above all... I never wanted to harm anyone especially my parents.

Sorry for the rant

At least it isn't school.

So many parents not parenting. They let the kids have their way and there is no discipline or consequence. Sadly this child is learning about consequences for the first time at age 13.

Sad story but it’s what happens when the weak make discipline frowned upon.

its the alternative school, its not a neighborhood school.

Also the dad died today and they bumped the charge to second degree murder

From my Google search, it seems that you have to be at least 15 to be tried as an adult in Louisiana. So he’s probably required to be released by age 21 or so.

Kid is already fricked in the head. I’m betting there’s a 0.00% change of him getting reformed while in prison.
