No surprise here. Oh, and the 9th Ward encompassed the East too. The bigger problem is that half of the shootings/murders are happening outside those areas.

To be fair, most of Louisiana is like this. As for Nola, I wouldn’t Limit this description to just the East.

Spin off District E and New Olreans numbers (crime, income, poverty, per capita income, education.....) would be dramatically different.

But at least the rest of Nola proper, save for the newer parts of Algiers, has architectural character that gives the city its unique charm. The East has zero character.

Baton Rouge would be fairly decent if we could get rid of north Baton Rouge. Unfortunately crime has a way of migrating across areas.
