The shipping giant Hajin has gone into bankruptcy, leaving ships floating at sea--and stranded in and around ports across the U.S.:

This naturally is causing economic problems and worse for the ports, shippers, and every business tied to the many, many supply chains that ship with Hajin.

Government intervention? A Korea-and-partner nations (guess who that would include) bailout? A drastic, immediate "foreclosure sale" on the ships?

And what about all those containers loaded with products and going nowhere aboard Hajin ships?

Why would ships be stranded at sea? I'm sure the captains would figure something out.

Ports won't unload for fear of nonpayment.

Two ships have already been seized.

The ports won't let them in without port fees paid.

Now wait a second here, this is serious business. You have any idea how many tons of smuggled coke and heroin can't get to consumers on account of this crisis?

When the captains either start dumping cargo in their port or abandon ship. They will let them dock.

The ship and cargo are worth more than any docking fee.
