I don't count all of Alabama's 16 national championships.

I don't know about the "only" one you can die from. I just know that my wife said while I was in CCU, it was like 3 straight days of a never ending seizure. I have no memory of the hospital until they put me in a private room(about 5 days in). She told me some other rather embarrassing things occurred also.
I don't have any memory of detox either. Before I went I would sleep about four hours a night before the sweats and nausea would wake me up. I'd try to hold off as long as I could but I'd usually end up pouring my first vodka the second the kids left for school. I'd drink the 1.75L bottle during the day, then switch to beer in the evening with the family to hide how much I'd drank. On top of that, I'd sneak out to the bar after my wife fell asleep and drink. I started having seizures a few months ago if I pushed it past a few hours. It was a nightmare of guilt, shame, and constantly dealing with scary arse withdrawal symptoms. I truly believed I wasn't going to live another year.
I feel good now at almost 90 days. My wife is a saint for giving me another chance. My kids are still young so I hope I have time to repair any damage done. Drinking had ceased being fun around 5 years ago so I don't have any desire to go back. I can't frick this second chance up.

I never drank like you did. I hadn't been drunk or even tipsy in about 20 yrs. I just a drank few (3 or 4) every day over that time. The doc said that my body had just gotten used to having it.
I quit on my own and even had a 12 pack in the fridge when I just didn't want it anymore. The first thing I noticed was that I got mean pretty easily, and then paranoia set in. My wife sat down and asked me what was going on, that she had noticed a change.
When I went to the hospital, she said I was very angry, but that I went with no fuss towards the EMTs. I have no memory of leaving the house, the ambulance ride, or anything that happened at the hospital until they put me in a room. My wife said I didn't even know my own name for 2 days in the private room.

Damn dude. Happy you are on the road to recovery or fully recovered. Happy for you. Takes a real man to face their issue head on. Keep your head up and stay straight. You' and your family will be ok.

I once saw lsu480 have sex with a pig. Not a large, obese woman, but an actual pig. He's a disgusting pervert.
