Yesterday at the magic kingdom it was the 45th anniversary. When we got there a guy ask me and my wife , no pics, and my 5 and 7 year olds if we wanted to be grand marshals in the 3 o'clock parade... It was really cool to get to ride in the parade with 2 Disney ambassadors... We actually were not even supposed to go until next year but I have recently been diagnosed with ALS so we went this year while I can still walk good... I was just hoping to build a few more memories for my kids and we got lucky enough to do something they will never forget.

Was this just random?

Either way, happy for you and your family.

That's awesome. I guess Ive been married 20 almost 20 years. I got married there during the 25th Anniversary. The castle was made to look like a cake.

Didn't get to be a parade grand marshal though.

Sorry to hear that man. If you need anything or want to talk to someone who lived thru that, my dad passed 2 years ago. Lived thru 3 years of it with him. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

That was one reason I was so excited because they did not know I have it. We were walking around lost trying to get to a fast pass and a guy stopped and helped us.. He started talking to us and told us he was the one who picked the grand marshals. He had no idea I was sick... I appreciate everything people do to help me. But people treat you a lot different. It was nice to get picked for something not just because I'm sick.

I think they do that each day - pick out a family with younger kids for that. Were y'all there when the gate opened? I think that helps too.

If Mr Tom Morrow were still on here he'd know. But I haven't seen him post in forever.

In November, Disney does the international food and wine show. There is food and wine from countries all over the world.

For adults, it's so much fun. You get to eat amazing food specific to the countries serving it and get white girl wasted drinking wine.
