Encouraging people with diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol to sit inside with food for possibly weeks. Exercise and diet is the first line approach to combating these conditions. More people die of complications that arise from these preventable conditions daily than Corona could ever dream of. Only allow X amount in at a time if you have to, but absolutely ridiculous to close them all together

ETA: Before anyone tries to claim everyone touches the same dumbbells, and machines, you touch the same buggy and shelves at Walmart or whatever grocery store you go to that everyone else does

ETA #2: Of course people that worship plus sized models are downvoting a gym thread
A bunch of mouth breathers on the OT

People don't need gyms to work out.

Disagree. I’ve seen more people out taking walks and exercising the last two weeks than I’ve ever seen since living where I am.

I’ve lost 8 lbs actually. Think it’s mostly due to stress. I work as a financial advisor... fun times.

You don't need a gym to not stuff your face everyday or to get off your arse and go on a run.

I agree. But some people need trainers that motivate them and hold them accountable

Good luck, especially if any of your clients are toilet paper hoarding types

Brah I ran a gym during this and it’s the LAST place that needs to be open. It’s nice to go in for private work outs though.

Since the quarantine, it’s the most I have seen people outside. Lots of people and families are walking their dogs, going on runs, and biking.

Not me baw. Set up a shitty home gym and run 2
Miles outside every day.

For folks just starting on a weight loss journey, probably don’t have discipline to sit in a house of food for a month
