It's simple. If you're working out on a machine and haven't touched the other machine in more than two minutes, you lose any right to reserve it.
Seems fair to me.
One person, one station. Finish the station and move on.

I can't stand people who reserve multiple pieces of equipment at a gym during busy hours. Especially when the equipment is not adjacent and is spread out.
If you want to do a massive circuit with 5 pieces of in demand equipment at a gym, do it at 5 in the morning or at another time when its not so busy.
Be considerate.
I watched a fight break out at my gym in Louisville a few years ago because of this. Some guy "reserved" equipment in all 4 corners of the gym and would bark at anyone who tried to use them. One guy didn't heed to his barking and it broke out in a fight.
Thankfully my current gym is never busy, but its not a mass market commercial gym either. I can do circuits with multiple racks because its rare for there to be more than 2 or 3 people in the place at any given time.

Lol what? No what's bs is walking up to a machine and changing the weight and then sitting down on the machine between lifts lol.
If a machine has weight on it, it's in use, so do your set and then put the weight back to what it was and don't hog the machine if your not physically using it.
Your also a douche and will probably get in a fight if you are supersetting and you walk away from your machine and get mad when someone uses it while your hitting another machine

Not a fact. You can isolate every leg muscle group with no arms.

Buy your own shite and lift at home if you want to hog equipment.
This is how the fight broke out at my Louisville gym.
Dude who was supersetting 4 pieces of equipment during a busy time got into a fight with a guy wanting to use the rack he "reserved".
Guy who tried to take the rack asked him to show him the deed to the gym because the guy kept saying its "MY" rack.
"Where is the deed? This is your gym? You own this rack?"
The guy already had reserved an adjustable bench in the dumbell area, an in demand piece of equipment, and had to cross the gym back to the squat rack area, which there were only 3. frick reserving two pieces of in demand equipment at the same time during busy hours.

My San Diego gym had a member who was a member of the mask police.
The gym was closed for 3 months, and when it reopened we only had to wear a mask to get in, not when working out, but this roided out 5'6 douche who looked like Daniel from Karate Kid if Daniel was shorter and on roids, would go around berating anyone not wearing a mask.
Unfortunately the gym's mask rule had to be altered a bit after a couple weeks, you had to wear a mask even when working out, which really emboldened this douche. I have no idea why he was never banned or told to knock it off. I know the owner of the gym was anti-mask and against shutdowns/restrictions. Must have had a reason.

Exactly how do you “reserve” a piece of equipment? I pay the same as anyone else.

Never would have happened at a box

And even then you can't assume you have some God-given right two take up two machines at once.

Or two pieces of in demand equipment during busy hours.
I move a lot so when I am looking for a new gym there are two things important to me:
1. The number of squat racks
2. The crowds
I could have signed up for a gym here in Las Vegas for $10 a month at LVAC or Eos, but those are commercial gyms with massive crowds because its so cheap.
I'd rather pay 8x that for a gym that has a lot of squat racks and smaller crowds so I don't have to worry about the squat racks/benches being all taken up all the time.
When I lived in Seattle I made the mistake of signing up for a gym downtown that only had 2 racks, so I had to get up at 5 in the morning whenever I wanted to use one. Good luck getting a rack at that gym at any other time.
My gym in San Diego only had 3 racks, however it wasn't that busy of a gym and the owner was smart and had a reservation system for them that was strictly enforced.

After waiting for a few minutes I proceed to remove the weight from the machine not in use and add it to my machine.
Why? Don't take weight off anything that's not yours, you didn't put it on there, so clearly someone is still using it or you go to a shitty gym where people don't unload. Grab your weight elsewhere and problem solved, he clearly found weights to reload that machine, so why couldn't you after several minutes of waiting?

You don’t get to monopolize more than one piece of equipment, period. F people who try to do that.
Posted on 4/1/21 at 6:52 pm to WaydownSouth
Nobody tells me anything at the gym

Who works out their legs anyway?

Out of all the things that make you a complete f*cking douche, that doesn’t even make the top 1000.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone unload a machine in BR in the last 25 years.
