This just bugs the crap out of me. Shaking another man's hand and they grab your fingers and then let go. Guy did this Sunday and I corrected him. He did not like this.

Surely the guys who do this would have been taught how to shake hands by their dad, an uncle, or even a high school coach. It baffles me.

I hate the people who try and crush your hand when they shake it. Firm is okay, but squeezing tight is not.

Unless you're a surgeon or a dentist, it's a bad first look.

I hate when I go to shake someone's hands and we lock up wrong, thus my handshake comes across awkward. Terrible feeling.

First thing they teach you at Catholic High is how to shake a hand. I always know the public school art figs upon first introduction.

A surprising number of frat boys offer up a dead fish too.

Some people's children.

I like when this happens, I look into their eyes and he already knows that he is inferior to me.

This happens with some regularity in my experience. Maybe I'm terrible at hand shaking, but I don't think so.

But anyway, I think most guys don't sweat the lockup issue. The dead fish is far, far worse.

My dad calls it a dead fish handshake or something. It feels weird when you run into someone who does this. I always have to wash my hands afterward.

I have a firm shake, but it ticks me to no end when somebody squeezes too quick on a handshake extension, essentially grabbing my fingers instead of allowing the palms to meet. I can't stop him and correct it, but I feel the same people who complain about this are the same people who are the quick grabbers.

The only thing worse than a bad handshake is someone who corrects another man about his handshake....

That is annoying. The other one that makes me self conscious is when the other guy doesn't get to the palm and goes for the firm handshake. He therefore makes your fingers crumple and now you're thinking he's thinking you have a bitch hand shake.

Lastly, strength in my right hand to counter such things was reduced by a finger surgery some how, so now when that happens I'm defenseless.

This guy gets it.

When I was about 10, an old man almost broke my fingers and told me that was how a man shakes another mans hand. It has stuck with me since then.
