What makes it so much worse to hunt a cat than ducks, deer, pigs, bear, coyote, etc? It's a completely arbitrary distinction. Cats can be in fact just as destructive if not more so if they overpopulate an area. People are funny.

I wouldn't kill cats for sport but when they leave muddy prints on my windshield or hodd and get in my trash they will catch a .22 to the head.

So why is it cruel to shoot cats but not cruel to shoot ducks?

OMG mud on the hood! That washes off where as a dog that barks all the time is way more annoying.

Which answer do you want? Because they aren't going to eat the cats or the ducks aren't someone's pet.

It's pretty much like dog in China. They eat it and we freak the frick out. It's another animal and meat, but we have an attachment to them over here.

It's crazy they do it with ducks and no one gives a frick, do it with cats and everyone loses their minds.

The cats aren't necessarily someone's pet either, and there are lots of thinking, feeling nuisance animals that people aren't going to eat that get hunted or killed.

I used to live by this lady that had about 15 cats that lived outside and reproduced wildly. I would have loved to shoot them. I guess I don't see what the big deal is that they killed a couple cats.

How about if I came to you or one of your family member's homes and shot your dogs? What's the big deal?

That would be destruction of property. That's completely different.

I understand that it is cruel to the pet owner as this being a terrible thing to do to someone.
I am talking about from the animals viewpoint. A duck doesn't think, "Oh, well, they are shooting me for food so that is ok."

I doubt they went to someone's home and did this, fricking outdoor cat owners and the dog owner's the let their dogs just run wild and destroy other people's shite kinda deserve this. Don't want your animal shot up, keep it in your yard/house.

Cats frick up a lot of shite.

Yeah, just a coincidence they have the neighbor missing 3 cats coming down to check out the pictures.

So help me understand where they shot these cats after a day of duck hunting. That's just completely bizarre. These are strays? Or neighborhood cats? And they are dumb for posting pictures.

This is the kind of shite that makes me nervous about having an indoor/outdoor cat. Sick fricks like this. Oh no, I have some cat foot prints on my car, time to kill the neighbors pet that otherwise poses no danger or nuisance.

You're right, because ducks aren't capable of rational thoughts. If they were, the predominant thought would probably be "how can we get higher on the food chain?"

Animal cruelty is a weird phrase to me.

Did they torture the cats? Or did they just kill them?

If they killed them quickly, how is that any different than killing a deer, coyote or raccoon?

Or a pig or cow?

I understand people's outrage...I guess, but if I was on the jury, I could only convict them for illegal use of a firearm, hunting without a license and property destruction.

You shouldn't have an outdoor cat. I make sure my dog doesn't frick up people's yards and clean up it's mess when it's not in my yard. Some how you dumb fricks with cats think it's alright to let your cat tear the frick out of people's cars/homes/etc because it's a cat. frick off with that shite.

I am sure the ducks are all like WTF dude. All the fake arse outrage over the cats is funny though. They should have let the tailgate down and drove them bad boys all around town for everybody to see.

Something tells me this is the kind of lady who considers ever feral cat that hangs out in her yard "a pet."
