I'm also afraid of my shots but luckily for me my sister is a nurse so I come over to her house for my rounds of injections. Like somebody else posted about getting the syringe instead of the pens is a good idea because you can control the flow of the injection. Another tip is to let the Humira get to room temperature so it doesn't sting as much. If you haven't done so, I would register with Humira Complete to get a savings card and a nurse ambassador to help you with the injections. Also, you can get a Sharps container and they'll also dispose of it when it's full. If you travel, you can get an insulated cooler bag from them.

For me, Humira didn't get my numbers down so I had to switch to Cimzia. I wish Cimzia had an ambassador program like Humira.

How the hell did they let you in the military with an allergy needing an epi pen?

Just remember it's most effective if you inject it into your testicles.

I do it in my thigh. Every two weeks. The 1st time I did it I had to take 4 at one time. Was pretty nervous but it's not that bad. Just burns for about 30 seconds.
