A close friend of a Texas mom whose body was found dead after disappearing with her nearly 1-month old daughter unwittingly revealed details about the suspect connected in the case during a live podcast interview Thursday night.

Authorities confirmed Thursday that they had discovered a body in the trunk of a car parked outside a Houston-area home during the search for Heidi Broussard and her daughter Margot Carey. A newborn baby was also found alive and unharmed inside the home.

As police were zeroing in on a suspect – later identified by media as Magen Fieramusca – a close friend of Broussard was being interviewed live on the "Jay for Justice" crime podcast, where she reportedly revealed details about the long friendship between the two women.

Yeah this is very old news. And I’m pretty sure that’s an Oklahoma shirt.

Investigators have alleged that Fieramusca had been plotting to take the Broussard's newborn, pretending to be pregnant at the same time as the victim.

“She’s 15 days old, 16 days old,” Nolte said of the alleged child. “Her and Heidi are best, best friends. She was there in the room when Heidi had Margot.”
Nolte admitted to never having seen pictures of the child but she did overhear a crying baby while on the phone with Fieramusca.

This incident was just recently in the news. Definitely not "very old".

Is there some doubt about whose kid was found or about the father?

Unless they are still determining whose child was found or still haven't completely ruled out boyfriend this article going over CPS's standard procedure for what happens next with child seems strange.

quote:

Margot was found unharmed in the Houston home and taken to a local hospital. She’s now in foster care while police and CPS investigate. A spokesperson for CPS said this is standard procedure.
CPS must now determine where Margot should be permanently placed. First, a CPS caseworker must confirm that people claiming to be related to Margot in fact are. Any person seeking custody cannot have any prior involvement with CPS, no criminal record and they must have experience caring for children.
If there is no suitable caregiver, the caseworker’s only other option may be to place Margot in foster care.

The CPS investigator will also typically ask the alleged perpetrator for an interview, but that person doesn’t have to agree. If they do, that information could be used as part of the investigation.

That’s because you can’t read. No surprise really, since it’s likely you eat the things living in the ditch in your front yard too.
