I am not up on my flooding equittie but seems like not additional damage done ?
Do y'all really not realize how pushing standing water in the street causes additional damage?

he is actually following proper procedure for fording high water - keep the crest of the wave just in front of the vehicle.
Can someone show me this in writing? I don't see the reasoning.

I don't see much difference between 14" of water in house and 16"
But again luckily I have dealt with it like much of the OT
I get why emotionally after getting flooding this makes you mad, but still not sure in regards what difference does it make.

And you're completely over reacting.
That guy should be fired. That's not an overreaction. What he did was stupid and unsafe and directly caused damage that wouldn't have happened otherwise.

It makes a difference when you don't have water and someone driving down your street like this pushes it in your house or car. Also it pushes water back in after it has been out.

I see your an auburn fan so basic common sense is above your pay grade, but let me elaborate for you, and the other mental midgets who are confused. Had the water not entered someone's house yet the water pushing he's doing causes a wake. Said wake can literally push water into someone's house/car who at the time might not have flooded, but be very close. Even though it would just be pushed in water it would cause damage even though they didn't actually have standing water. That's why it's an issue.
You mean the common sense to not live where it constantly floods?
Some of us have literally never seen a flood in our lives.

They should focus on the guy driving
If you read the thread, the company issued a statement and their statement got a lot of upvotes. Everyone here is mad at the driver, not the company.

In video it clearly looks like water was in the house

Then it should be easy to STFU and let people that know what they're talking about to chastise your fellow auburn fan.

Do you see a difference between 0" and 2"? Because people like the dumbass driver posted cause that kind of damage.

Drivers or boaters going more than 5 mph on flooded streets will be issued tickets, NOPD officials said. “We will enforce that with zero tolerance,” said NOPD Superintendent Ronal Serpas in a news conference Monday afternoon.

I was referring to the issue in general not specifically to the video. But I doubt this guy was only driving like this at that specific intersection.

You serious Clark?
That big wake he was making by driving that fast pushed water into houses and vehicles that may not have been flooded, but now have damage thanks to that a-hole

We're not only talking about the video. I have two friends that posted damage due only to idiot drivers, as well as a couple people in my neighborhood's Facebook page. They'd have had no damage if not for stupid drivers.
Posted on 8/6/17 at 11:46 am to LNCHBOX
Y'all should talk about this issue in your next Neighborhood Watch Block Party, you seem the type to be the President of said Watch. What does that pay?
Posted on 8/6/17 at 11:48 am to ThatMakesSense
quote:Exactly. But he is being in an idiot in a company truck potentially causing horrible damage to people's property
And neither do you.
How y'all don't understand this is beyond me
If there was a video of him driving completely intoxicated, but the video didn't show him hitting anybody, would y'all still say " well, we didn't see him cause any damage....."
