I knew the Crusades happened in Germany.
Was that before or after they bombed Pearl Harbor?

I have no guilt over my school's name. None. I have no guilt over the Crusades. None. My only problem is that the Crusaders eventually lost to the Muslims, like, what A THOUSAND YEARS AGO???? So, Monty Muslim, GET OVER IT. It didn't happen yesterday.

I mean, the Muslims won, and they're still bitching about it.

The First Crusade was launched in 1079 as a counter-attack against the Turks.
This is true. Christian Europe had made peace with the Arabs that were ruling Palestine prior to the Seljuk Turks invading and had trade deals in place with them as well as guarantees from the rulers that Christian pilgrims would be allowed to the Holy sites unmolested. The Turks did not honor that agreement

SJWs are appallingly ignorant of history. Or of the world. All they know is that white Christian males are evil. Whatever leaps of logic it takes to come to that conclusion, they’ll gleefully jump.
Around 1999, a group of asinine SJWs—although they predated the term—literally marched to the holy land on an apology tour. Apologizing to Muslims and Jews for the Crusades. From 1000 years before. There is literally nothing too retarded for a SJW to do.

I am sure Brother Martin will be next.

The First Crusade began a full 400 years after the first attempted Muslim conquest of Europe, so there is that.

Yeah, but you never really know why commanders did certain things. Wasn’t he abandoned by his general, who ran back to Constantinople to claim the crown?

Yeah his general John Doukas had fled and installed himself as emperor, but that was short lived
Had Romanus not split his forces at the battle, he probably would have fought in the worst case to a draw. If he had waited for troops coming from the West he probably wins the battle takes back Armenia and saves Anatolia from a subsequent Turkish invasion

So, I understand that after the Ottoman Empire's collapse into modern day Turkey, Western nations dominated and carved up the Middle East into their modern nation state status.
Also that the oil resources in the region made the area a major zone of influence during the Cold War, at least partially creating the blowback of the late 20th /Early 21st Century,
HOWEVER, when one takes the long view:
Conquest of Christian North Africa
Conquest of Spain
Battle of Tours, 732
Conquest of Byzantine Empire
Siege of Vienna, 1529
Battle of Vienna, 1683
Any objective, "imperial" historical narrative must be directed in one direction.
And thank Jesu for the hardasses at Tours and Vienna!
