This was my hell for four hours a few weeks ago. Traffic there is incredible. Had to go from southwest of Long Beach to Beaumont.

We were trying to estimate the number of cars on the interstate system there on a bad traffic day at any one time. Got to be in the hundreds of thousands, or millions.

maybe but I will comment anyway

Why do people choose to live like that? I would get out as soon as possible and if enough people did the same it would self-regulate and be okay.

Then these same people assume the world is "overcrowded" and we need some Malthusian solution when it isn't and we don't.

CA has the most natural beauty in the entire lower 48 but it isn't enough to live like that.

Beijing is laughing at LA.

If you thought traffic was bad on a five-line freeway, can you imagine a 50-lane traffic jam? In Beijing, China, thousands of commuters were trapped on the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway on Wednesday, China's The People's Daily reported. The massive traffic jam was caused by a new checkpoint that caused 50 lanes to merge into 20 lanes, according to The People's Daily reported.

Not too often I agree with you but Los Angeles was the worst place I have lived too

Maybe because there's lots of cars.

Notice this is the expressway from Beijing to Macau. Who knew Chinese like to gamble this much?
