yea, 8% of non essential services shutting down for 24 hours is "chaos"
Obama in 2013 chose to send goons out there to close all museums and parks. That isn't required by law if there is shutdown.

No telling. It won't impact the military or any non essential services. The government has been shutdown 18 times since 1976. If you don't hold a job in one of affected federal agencies you probably would never know that it was happening.

It does affect the military. All travel and schools are shut down. Civilian support personnel are sent home.
I’m not sure yet, but I think we don’t get paid until after this is over.
So basically, the military just sits there until this is over.
