It is a millenial thing. They need some self proclaimed positive reinforcement to bolster their spines due to their fear of the natural aging process. Giving themselves the reward of a day off for accomplishing another year (as everyone else does) makes it appear as though aging is a good thing. They participated so they deserve a day off.

I take the whole fricking week off and just do whatever I feel like doing.

I have, every birthday of my life.

Last year I took off for my birthday, and took my little boy to the Children's Museum and to lunch. This year I worked. Last year was way better.

It worked out with my schedule that I had 5 days off in a row(didn't have to use any vacation either) and I was also on a small break from school.
Spent those days just doing what I wanted....it was awesome.

Yep. I goof off. I meet friends for lunch and laugh at them having to go back to work. I relax and recharge.

I went kayaking, hiking, and rode my bike. Enjoyed being out on the lake on a Wednesday when there wasn't many people out there. Was so peaceful just floating on the water. Found a secluded beach area off the lake and pulled up and laid a towel down and read my kindle for like an hour before paddling back.

What is up with this? Trashy? Douchey? Self-absorbed? Immature? Or what? Women too.
Who gives a damn? Just like people who spend their money on really stupid shite. All theirs to do what they want with.

The only holidays in my world are my birthday and Veterans Day. I take off for both every year.

Love my crazy schedule too nurse. Only have to work 3 nights then off another 4 days. Today I sat at a restaurant right off the beach and had lunch with all 3 of my kids who were off of school today. Went surfing last 2 days with my kids. The weather has been beautiful out here.

I generally take the day after my birthday off. If I celebrated it right, I won't want to be at work the next day.

What's worse, taking a day off for your birthday or a douchey thread about a grown man taking off his birthday.
