That whole hour a week is pretty damn valuable
More valuable to him than $60, again pretty simple concept.

If I’m not mistaken MoJeaux lives in New York. He probably doesn’t even have a yard to cut
You think the whole state is Manhattan?

You don’t have 1 hour a week to spend time outdoors cutting your own yard?
Man you must be important
Ah yes, the moral virtue of cutting your own yard.

And work in a few to take care of your own shite instead of spending “all those working hours” posting on a message board
I do take care of my own shite. I’m able to pay others to take care of chores that I’ve decided are worth less than devoting my own time to doing so. Why don’t you make more money so that you don’t have to pretend that mowing your own grass (for Christ’s sake) makes you noble?
This is such an example of what Nietzsche called slave morality. You’ve decided to attribute virtue and nobility to such a silly thing as mowing your lawn.

Nah he’s just lazy.
Get outside. Be active. Take pride in your own property. Set an example for your kids.
It’s a pretty simple concept.
Something you will never have the luxury of experiencing

The only pretentious ones in this thread are the people attaching some feigned moral virtue to cutting their own grass.
It’s so weird

All of these can be done, arguably more effectively, by measures other than mowing your lawn

I’m outside plenty, and I’m plenty active. Much more so than most of the suburban dads who mow their lawn for an hour and then down four or five beers because they think they’ve exerted themselves.
And I obviously take pride in my property, because I pay people to maintain it.
This is such a weird hill you’re deciding to die on.

It says he lives in NYC. Do you know what the "C" stands for?

How do I know that your yard is bigger than mine?

I now live outside of the city in a suburban area, so I very much have the typical front and back yard.
I still work in NYC and have a modest apartment there, which I now rent out.
I also grew up in a semi-rural area of Louisiana and mowed lawns for years, so I know which end of a lawnmower is up.

Just like Roger, the guy that lives in Alaska was earlier.

How much time did any and all of you spend with your kids while wasting your lives with this pointless discussion? It's Fathers's Day weekend. Make it worth something.

So now you just spend all your time commuting
Cool. Sounds like you have it all figured out.

Well he’s not obsessively insulting a guy on the internet 1500 miles away because said guy hires someone to mow
So he's doing one thing right at least

All my time commuting? Nope.
So now commuting to one’s job is a moral failure too?
You must work for a lawn service. How much do you charge?
