I really don't think it's that much of an exaggeration. Roger initially seemed like a nice guy who found peace in a somewhat alternative, nature focused lifestyle in Alaska and was mainly known for posting beautiful nature pictures and giving pretty good advice.
Over the years he's morphed into a seemingly bitter, angry old man who spends an inordinate amount of time engaging in petty arguments on here and belittling people. It's a sad downfall.
