probably go with the flasks

Has anyone in your group already done flasks? I was just tired of them after the 3rd one So I wanted to be a little different, and the last wedding before mine we got engraved Case knives. So that led me to hatchets.

Groomsman got personalized flasks

I gave my wife a video camera. She got me a watch

We gave our parents stuff, but I don't remember what. Gift cards for some, I think. We also wrote each of our parents a letter. I think the appreciated that more than the gifts. My dad cried like a bitch. (my dad's not a bitch, he'll beat up your dad)

Go with the tailgating chair with the cooler underneath. I would've very happy with that as a groomsman.

If I get my parents anything, it would be like a collection of pictures. Either on a disc or in a book. I like making my mom cry . It's really easy.

If no felons and not a million groomsmen... Taurus .380s

Cheap, unique, and they will have them for a long time.

Another option is hand made knives by a local knife maker. They can be passed down for generations. Most are works of art...some makers can get you mammoth ivory and really unique materials for handles.

My Groomsman got...nothing, as we signed our paperwork locally, then my wife an I said our vows on top of a legitimate mountain in the Rockies alone. Saved money, meant more.

How many flasks does one person really need? I would try to figure something else out, but apparently that's just me.

To answer how much to spend. You don't have to spend alot on them, but it should be something thoughtful that they'll like/use. Depends on your situation, but I wouldn't spend more than what they are spending on attending.

As for what to get: Just ask yourself... would you want one of these?
(Are you getting one for youself?)

Father and Father in Law: Did you get them anything? If so, ideas?
I wouldn't give them any gifts ahead of time. And, I don't think they expect anything. Maybe do it if you see something on the honeymoon to bring back for them that they'd like/couldn't get here.

A hand-written letter telling your parents how much you appreciate them and her parents how excited you are to join their family and marry their daughter is a thoughtful momento.

Fiance: How many gifts? Ideas?
Writing her a note for her to open on the wedding day before the wedding is a must. But make sure she reads it before she does her makeup.

As for a gift, you should talk to her about it ahead of time.
But even if ya'll decide not to exchange gifts, I'd still do a little something.

I think flasks are played out, personally.

I like the tailgating chair / ice chest idea.

And I like the personalized knife idea.

I'm sure we will end up getting something for our parents and anyone else who helped out with the wedding.

No offense, but I'm pretty sure my wedding meant just as much to me as yours did to you.

I got all my groomsmen and ushers stainless flasks with their initials engraved. I even got myself one too. Bought the now ex-wife diamond ear rings as gift. Gave her parents a nice bottle of wine.
