Grocery shopping at Walmart and prices on clearance

has anyone noticed they'll put a lot of items in the main isles with a mark down price sign, and they'll have full price items on the top shelf of that, such as tostias cheese dip is $3. mark down from 4.79. and the chips below that on the same block are $3. but the dip is still full price when you get to the register. But the marketing leads you to believe the dip is 3 also

If I see a deal too good to be true in a grocery store, I take pictures of the product and the price advertised on the display. I watch the cashier ring it up, and if there’s a discrepancy I show them the picture. They always get it straightened out after that.

Went to Bet-R awhile back and they had a display that said “Lays Potato Chips $2.99”
Got a bag of Sour Cream and Onion Lays from it and the cashier informed me the sale price was only for the plain Lays Potato Chips
They didn’t lie but they were trying to trick me. Also I might’ve been drunk then too
