Hammer films are awesome.

Amicus was another British studio who did a lot of horror in the 60's and 70's as well. Peter Cushing did some work for Amicus.

Two good Amicus films were The House That Dripped Blood (an anthology movie) as well as Asylum. Both I thought were really good.

Technically not a horror-genre but it involved real murders and real crime.
Paul Winfield made City Confidential so much better with his creepy and beautiful voice. Many people credit this show for creating the 'true crime entertainment' genre.

Price was also fairly decent at comedy. He was a pretty versatile actor

I love Vincent Price. He was so hammy and just ate up every single scene he was in. Big fan of him.

Classically trained actor in Hungary. Immigrated to America and promptly got typecast. His son is a lawyer/entertainment exec who at one time oversaw the Three Stooges broadcast rights.
