Piss on a plant once and it's fine. Piss in the compost bin and you have gold. Have a pet piss there once or twice a day and see how quick it dies. Had this happen to all my tomato plants on the edge one year and realized the dog needed more walks.

Urine has nitrogen in it so it can work as a fertilizer but it needs to be diluted or it can burn the roots. It also has salts that can build up in the soil after continuous use.
