The incompetence of that entire force is astounding.

The original caller is still waiting for law enforcement to respond to their 911 call.

So the homeowner just happened to be in his garage at 1:45 am and armed? Yeah sounds a little fishy to me.

Maybe it was uncle Jamal who lives in the neighbor’s garage.

If someone is beating on your door at 1:00am are you supposed to assume they are police?

What is more likely. He was hanging out in his garage at 1:45am? Or he was woke up in the middle of the night with someone beating on his door so he went through his garage so not to go face up with the perps.

According to Massad Ayoob, yes. Well, not that you should assume it’s police, it it’s the most likely possibility. He did a video on it:

The big question is did the cops identify themselves while knocking on the door for five minutes.

If someone knocks on my door at 1am saying they're the police....i'm calling the police.

The problem with this is the idiotic assumption that only the police would say they're the police. I'm not taking that risk. I'll open the door when dispatch tells me the police are at my residence.

One would think that the home owner we be a dead man if they all took a shot.

"...and not seriously hurt."

Crazy the amount of downvotes you've received.

The last thing I'd do with police rollers circling away on cop cars and knocks on my door would be brandishing a gun.

It's the ultimate FAFO.

Go the wrong house dumbass.

If they wouldn’t have been cops, the OT would be praising this guy for protecting his property

Dude was asleep in his house in the middle of the night and heard a disturbance at his door. How in the ever living frick is he supposed to know it’s the cops? He should have just walked out unarmed hands on his hand just in case?

Lots of total retards in this thread

I assume the guy was asleep and not exactly expecting the cops so he woke up, armed himself and pointed the gun at the first movement he saw not realizing it was police officers

So yiu answer the door at night armed with a gun? How many burglars you know knock at the door for five mins?

And I’m sure they were yelling police when they knocked. First thing I’d think is a family member died if they show up that late. Not let me grab my piece.

Sounds like the guy shot was a complete idiot. And a thug.

Maybe don't go at 2am.

Maybe go during the day and try to take them when they leave the house.

And you are one of them. If soneone is knocking at my door for five mins, I go check a window to see who it is first. Just not walk outside with a piece. Like I said, how many burglars knock at the door for five mins.

You’re assuming you know exactly what happened as well as assuming you’d have time to think reacting in the dark in the middle of night when you were woken up.

The OT is such a weird and confusing place.

In one thread, we're praising a guy for running down a woman who hit him and almost getting shot for it but it ended as well as it could have.

In this thread though, we are supposed to let the police do their job however they want and just meekpy submit.

If this place could ever work out the cognitive dissonance, it would be actually on to something.

Correct, it’s worse, he didn’t just answer the door with a gun, he came out the house pointing the gun at cops.
