ETA: do any of you really think this was a NAZI thing? Anyone with half a brain knows it wasn’t.
Worse, it was a bunch of future state employees showing they can't be trusted to watch themselves, let alone an inmate.

You’ve never called someone a tongue in cheek Nazi referring to how strict they are? Should you have been fired?
Do you know the difference between mimicking a nazi and calling someone one?

Do you know that you can imitate someone while simultaneously mocking them?
Do you have the IQ of a bowl of porridge?
You think these cadets were anything even close to approaching literal Nazis?

Nice...don't forget this other symbol that time-traveled to the past...
Also...Hitler ruined the name Adolph for Boomers and every generation after.

You don't need to time travel, just go to India. Swastikas are all over the place. It's a symbol of well being to them. Nobody over there seems horrified by them.

Well, I'm not here fabricating claims that they were mocking nazis...

I’m saying they were good naturedly ribbing their commanding officer.
If you call someone a grammar Nazi, does that mean they really want to genocide poor spellers?

The defense of the people in this photo by some of y'all is like the inverse equivalent of "Did't do nuthin"

What if people are just fricking around being stupid and they do a nazi salute and someone takes a picture of it?
Or is this just for this particular situation?

Yes, because posing in a photo as a joke is just like committing violent crimes against innocent people.

How about just not doing it no matter what the case. If you use bad judgment and it is captured then be prepared to face the consequences.

I have snapped that salute mockingly to friends who have had moments of morphing into Sergeant Carter. Just a mocking way to say “slow your role Hitler.” So this photo is a group of people who were giving their hard arse trainer a commemorative photo that was sarcastically implying that he is a very authoritative and tyrannical leader? And the way that they wanted to convey this sentiment was to lampoon an allegiance salute that is common throughout history of Western Civilization? And that some SJW blew the whistle that sent the pansy regiment charging up out of the trench and through the barbed wire to destroy a phantom enemy of political correctness? And that this somehow made it all the way to a virtue signaling Governor who capitulated to a vocal super minority by firing the entire group in the photo as well as others who were not in the photo? So, I am to understand that an entire group of innocent people have once again been sacrificed at the altar of social justice and that their are brown shirts in this very thread who agree with the Governor’s decision? Is that a correct summary?

If this was West Point they would have said they were just waving to the camera.
