re: Government weather warnings

When there is a threat of bad weather, I follow it and wait as long as possible before making a decision.

The weather people give you information based on weather patterns, etc. Weather changes, but why wouldn't you use it?

Out of all the things tax dollars are wasted on... You think the NWS is up there with the most wasted use of tax dollars?

If it isn't on windfinder it doesn't exist to me.

Also, double the wind on windfinder to get close to the actual wind conditions you will see.

National weather service warnings are not “rules” they are simply informational. I’d rather have more than enough information to base my decisions on than not enough.
